Took my car for the annual passing today and got rejected for something I honestly did not even think to check. The inspector said my tint was slightly darker than allowed on the front windows even though it has been like that for years and passed before. Now I have to remove it and come back which is just wasted time and money. I was reading about common vehicle inspection rejection reasons online and apparently tint issues and minor light bulb failures are among the top things that catch people off guard. I wish they would just give a warning for small things like that instead of a full fail but I guess rules are rules. What is the most ridiculous reason your car has ever failed inspection?
