So I have been debating this with myself for the past few weeks and I genuinely want to know what other Infiniti owners think about this. My car is about three years old and still under a kind of extended care plan but I have been going to a local workshop nearby because it is convenient and cheaper. A colleague at work told me last week that he always takes his car to Musaffah Authorized Infiniti Workshop because he had a bad experience years ago where a regular garage used the wrong grade of oil and it caused some issues with the engine that took a while to sort out. That story stuck with me because I had never really thought about whether the oil or parts being used at my current garage are actually the right specification for my car. I visited and found some information about why using the correct parts and fluids specifically approved for Infiniti vehicles matters more than most people realize especially as the car gets older and starts needing more careful attention. What surprised me was reading that some warranty related issues can actually be affected by where and how the car was serviced previously which I had no idea about. I always thought warranty was just about the age of the car but apparently service history plays a role too. Now I am seriously reconsidering whether saving a bit of money at a general garage is actually worth it in the long run. Has anyone here switched from a regular workshop to an authorized one for their Infiniti and noticed a genuine difference in how the car performs or how problems are handled?
