Okay so I have been hearing about this for a while now and I genuinely cannot tell if it is as impressive as people say or just one of those things that sounds amazing in theory but does not really deliver in real life. I got a small scratch on my bonnet last month from a shopping cart in a parking lot and it was honestly so annoying because the car is barely two years old. A colleague mentioned he had looked into Self Healing Car Film Abu Dhabi for his own car after something similar happened to him and said the technology is actually quite real where minor surface scratches basically disappear on their own when the film heats up in the sun. I was honestly a bit skeptical when he first told me that but then I checked and they explained how the top coat of the film has elastic properties that allow it to return to its original shape after light abrasions which makes a lot more sense when you understand the science behind it. Living in Abu Dhabi the heat is obviously not something we lack so if the film genuinely activates with warmth then conditions here should actually make it work better than in cooler climates. My question is whether this type of film is noticeably more expensive than regular paint protection and whether the self healing ability actually lasts the full lifespan of the film or fades after a year or two. Would love to hear from anyone who has had it on their car for a couple of years and can give an honest opinion on whether it still performs the way it did when first applied.
