Follow up after using that online garage finder thing, not totally sure how to feel
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned I was going to try booking through this site I found, https:jeepservicemussafah.ae, and a few of you told me to report back so here I am. The booking part was surprisingly smooth, picked a morning slot and they even confirmed via WhatsApp which felt pretty organised for Mussafah standard. The work itself was just a routine coolant flush and replacing a squeaky idler pulley on my Commander, nothing too crazy, and the pricing was actually a bit lower than the first estimate they gave over the phone. But here’s the thing that’s making me a little uneasy, when I picked up the Jeep the mechanic said my rear main seal was starting to seep and tried to upsell me on dropping the transmission pan right then and there, which felt kind of sudden because I’ve never seen a drop of oil on my parking spot and the guy couldn’t really show me on the lift since they were already busy with another car. The work they did seems fine and the engine is quiet now, but I’m left wondering if that seal thing was a legit catch or just a way to pad the bill on a new customer. Has anyone else had that experience where the service itself is good but the extra recommendations feel a bit pushy? I don’t want to ignore a real problem but also don’t fancy cracking open the transmission on a hunch.
