Been going back and forth on this for a couple weeks now and finally decided to just ask people who might actually know. I picked up an H2 last year and love the thing but a mechanic friend of mine casually mentioned that when the battery eventually goes it’s not as straightforward as a regular sedan swap, something about the size and placement making it trickier than expected. I started looking into it and came across some mentions of Hummer battery replacement experts who apparently deal with these specifically rather than just treating it like any other vehicle, which made me feel a bit better honestly because I was not looking forward to showing up somewhere and watching a confused technician google it in front of me. My current battery isn’t dead yet but it’s showing some sluggishness on cold starts which in Dubai I know sounds ridiculous but the AC running constantly year round does take a toll apparently. Curious if anyone here has gone through this with an H2 or even an H3 and whether there were any surprises, price wise or otherwise. Also wondering if mobile service is even an option for something this size or if it has to be done at a workshop. Any firsthand experience would be genuinely useful before I commit to anything.
